Sunrise

A winter morning sunrise of a tree line and adjacent field. I loved the symmetry and overlayed some words of reflection as a metaphor for the figure reading while leaning against the tree.  

This image was photographed by the artist, then transferred to enamel on hand cut copper and fired in a kiln resulting in the sepia tones. The finished artwork is then mounted on barnboard painted with mineral paint.  

Overall size is 5.5"x5.5" and the enameled copper square with image is 2.5"x2.5".
